A Great Opportunity for Fund Raising!

St. Matthew’s has begun an ongoing fund raising endeavor through our participation in a program called “FUNDit”

St. Matthew’s offers the opportunity to purchase certificates for a wide variety of participating merchants. When you purchase products from those merchants, they contribute a percentage (ranging from 1% to 15%) of your purchase to St. Matthew’s. The certificates can be redeemed “dollar for dollar” from the vendor. For example: A $50 certificate for Shaws will cost $50 and will buy $50 worth of groceries (or other products) at Shaws. FUNDit, upon receipt of the order, immediately credits St. Matthew’s account with $2 (4% of the $50).

The certificates must be paid for a week in advance (so planning ahead is key). Once we receive the order, we sent it in to FUNDit who receives the order, withdraws the net amount of the order from our account electronically and then sends the certificates by Airborne Express to our program co-ordinator. Certificates will be available at Coffee Hour on the following Sunday.

To place an order, fill out an order form and include a check payable to “St. Matthew’s Church FUNDit”. The forms and checks are being collected at Coffee Hour following the 9:30 service. Your certificates will be available the following Sunday (at Coffee Hour).

Below is a list of participating vendors, the available denominations of certificates and the percentage that is returned to St. Matthew’s. Certificates make great gifts this time of year but these are places where we routinely shop. So if you can, plan enough in advance and keep the program in mind as a great way to supplement the ongoing mission of St. Matthew’s.
